Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 20, bringing back beloved heroes Mario, Rabbid Peach, and Rabbid Luigi, and teaming them up with new allies, including a very unexpected one: Bowser! Bowser brings his explosive set of skills to the team as he fights alongside Mario to free his bewitched minions from the grasp of the mysterious entity known as Cursa.
During today's Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Showcase, Ubisoft announced that new composers were joining the adventure: legendary composer Yoko Shimomura and the multi-award winner Gareth Coker. Acclaimed videogame composer Grant Kirkhope also returns to the franchise, after masterfully scoring Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will offer tactical gameplay designed for all players, from newcomers to tactical game enthusiasts. Real-time action and free movement provide a brand-new combat experience. Form a team of three Heroes (from the complete roster of nine) and get ready for battle. At the beginning of their turn, each hero can move freely within their individual range and take cover, team jump on their allies, or dash at their enemies. Each Hero also has two action points that can be spent by attacking or using an item or Spark Power. There are many Sparks to choose amongst, each with a distinct power. Players will have to locate and save the Sparks to have them join the adventure, opening up new possibilities to help Heroes get the upper hand in battles.
Exploration is a major part of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. With your preferred team of Heroes, you can freely explore a series of planets in a galaxy corrupted by Cursa's evil influence and infused with the chaotic creativity of the Rabbids. Each planet has its own unique atmosphere, setting, and characters. Players will solve puzzles, engage in surprising activities, find collectibles, and rescue new Sparks to help them along the way.
