Star Wars Outlaws™ gave us a first look at gameplay during Ubisoft Forward, before it launches on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC via Ubisoft Connect in 2024. In the new gameplay walkthrough, cunning scoundrel Kay Vess and her companion Nix take on a high-risk mission where they must sneak into a secret location on the moon of Toshara to steal valuable goods from the Pyke Syndicate.
In our gameplay walkthrough breakdown, Ubisoft News spoke with Narrative Director Navid Khavari, Creative Director Julian Gerighty, and Game Director Mathias Karlson to get more information on Kay, Nix, Kay’s ever-changing reputation with the crime syndicates, space exploration, the creation of the moon of Toshara and Kay’s ship, the Trailblazer, and more.
In Star Wars Outlaws, players will follow Kay and Nix as they travel to distinct locations across the galaxy, both recognizable and new, from the jungles of Akiva to the windswept savanna of Toshara. They’ll visit bustling cities, race across sprawling outdoor landscapes on Kay’s speeder, and explore space on her ship, the Trailblazer.
You’ll use stealth and gadgets to retrieve valuables while undetected, distract enemies with a well-timed stunt, engage in blaster combat in complicated situations, and join forces with a cast of outlaws along the way, including battle-hardened droid ND-5. When things go awry, Kay can fly the Trailblazer in thrilling dogfights against the Empire and other adversaries, letting you gain the upper hand through daring chases, high-speed evasions, and targeted attacks. While Kay and Nix are stealing valuable goods, infiltrating secret locations, and outwitting enemies, they will need to make on-the-fly decisions and consider their choices carefully; certain moves you make can influence Kay’s ever-changing reputation.
