On December 1, the unique Operators and tense, tactical action of Rainbow Six Siege are coming to next-generation consoles. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game will support 4K resolution and up to 120 frames per second for players with displays that can support both, and players can select resolution mode or performance mode to ensure constant 4K graphics or 120 FPS, respectively. Displays that support other configurations — including 4K 60 FPS, 1080p 120 FPS, or 1080p 60 FPS — should run at their max resolution and FPS.
Players who currently own the game on Xbox One or PS4 can upgrade to the Xbox Series X | S or PS5 version, respectively, at no extra cost (view conditions and restrictions here). Players who upgrade can keep their progression and play with other players within the same family of devices through cross-generation play.
Rainbow Six Siege on the new generation of consoles will also take advantage of new features such as enhanced audio capabilities, as well as the PS5’s DualSense controller capabilities and Activities feature. Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S versions have been updated with streamlined intro sequences and better accessibility, with text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and readability options. And all versions will benefit from Ubisoft Connect integration.
