Ubisoft+ Spotlight - Assassin's Creed Origins

(Editorial note: This is a series of quick weekly highlights written by Ubisoft News team writers that feature games available with a Ubisoft+ subscription. We hope you'll enjoy reminiscing with us, or perhaps discover something new.)

Brittany Spurlin, Writer/Editor: Witness the birth of the Hidden Ones in Assassin's Creed Origins. Set in Ptolemaic Egypt, the story follows Bayek of Siwa, a Medjay warrior on a mission of vengeance for his young son's murder. He works with his wife, Aya, to track down the masked men responsible, only to discover they are members of a strange cult known as the Order of the Ancients. Bayek and Aya continue to hunt the members of the Order, engaging with notable historical figures like Cleopatra, Pompey the Great, Julius Caesar, and more along the way.

Exploring Egypt is part of what makes this game shine, whether you're parkouring across the metropolis of Memphis or Alexandria, discovering an animal den nestled in a desert oasis, taking out bandits amidst craggy rocks, or delving into hidden tombs of ancient figures like Alexander the Great. Plus, you can see the Great Pyramids, uncover mysteries within them, and, of course, climb up to the top for a quick world sync before performing a Leap of Faith. By exploring Egypt's cities and villages, you'll also get a taste of what life was like during that era.

You can play Assassin's Creed Origins Gold Edition, which includes the Deluxe Pack and Season Pass in addition to the game, with a Ubisoft+ subscription. You can also get the Standard Edition for up to 85% off from the Ubisoft Store during its Winter Sale.
