Ubisoft is once again partnering with the eSports World Convention to bring 18 Just Dancers from around the world to show off their moves and compete in the Just Dance World Cup. These competitors, who have won respective qualifying rounds, will travel to Paris to perform choreography from Just Dance 2017 and Just Dance Unlimited over the course of the three-day event. Winners will be decided based on the individual dancer's score, as well as by a jury of Just Dance and choreography experts.
The winner will receive an opportunity to visit Ubisoft Paris for a week, where they will work with members of the development team, costume designers, choreographers, and dancers on a special song that will be integrated into Just Dance Unlimited for the next Just Dance World Cup.
"The JDWC our ambition to make the whole world dance," said Marine de La Seiglière, Just Dance Executive Producer. "The JDWC brings a unique touch to the world of eSports competition: not only is this the perfect match between video games and physical activity, but this is a really entertaining spectacle! We managed to make the activity of dancing accessible to all, and I'm proud that we are on the way to doing the same with eSports."
The online qualifiers in the World Dance Floor mode on consoles drew in 83% more competitors than the qualifiers for the 2016 Just Dance World Cup. Tune into the Just Dance World Cup livestream starting February 19 at 4:30PM Paris time, available on the Just Dance World Cup website.
