Gamescom is the world's largest consumer event for videogames, and this year's attendees will be able to get hands-on time with all of Ubisoft's hottest games. From August 5-9 in Cologne, Germany, fans will be able to spend time with titles like Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Rainbow Six Siege, For Honor, Just Dance 2016, Trackmania Turbo and more. This Gamescom marks the first time visitors to Ubisoft's booth (located in Hall 6.1 at space B020) will be able to sample every single one of the games on display on the showfloor. Try your hands at everything, from the Assassin's Creed Syndicate demo, where players will experience the game as Evie Frye, to the multiplayer battles in For Honor, Rainbow Six Siege and The Division. Attendees can also get hands-on time with Anno 2205, Might & Magic Heroes VII and Trackmania Turbo. Those interested in VR will also be able to take that for a spin with the Rabbids Virtual Reality Ride.
Whether they are waiting in line or simply exploring the booth, attendees will also be treated to a packed program of stage activities, including live demonstrations of games like Just Dance 2016 and The Crew Wild Run, the huge expansion for The Crew that was announced at E3 2015. There will also be a cosplay contest for fans to participate in.
If you're attending the show and have a passion for dancing, you may want to enter yourself in the Just Dance World Cup Live Event qualifications. Show off your moves at the Just Dance World Cup booth (located in Hall 10.1 at space B043) for the chance to move onto the Grand Finale, which will go down at Paris Games Week in late October.
Maybe your interests lie more in a fast-paced, close quarters tactical FPS. If that's the case, head to the ESL booth on August 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. CET as four teams consisting of incredible players from around the world go head-to-head in Rainbow Six Siege in intense 5v5 matches. If you can't make it to the show, you can watch the whole thing live at the official Twitch channel.
"Gamescom is a huge event for us and for players, and this year's show promises to be one of our biggest and most fan-focused ever," said Alain Corre, EMEA Executive Director, Ubisoft. "Understanding players' initial thoughts and reactions to the games we're developing is incredibly important, and by making the Ubisoft games at Gamescom playable, we're hoping that attendees will have a much more interactive and memorable experience and that their feedback will be even more applicable to our creative teams."
