For Honor Year 10 Season 3: Blood Hunt – New Ranked Mode, The Keeper of Chains Hero Skin, and Halloween Events

For Honor Year 10 Season 3: Blood Hunt is here, continuing the cycle of war with a new Ranked Mode, new Hero Skin and Battle Pass, and Special Halloween Throwback Events. After the Gryphon’s uprising, Guljin reaffirms her rule by unleashing the Keeper of Chains, who makes his way to a desolate region of Ashfeld, where a mysterious opponent reigns through combat and bloodshed. The Keeper of Chains encounters the strange new character, and they fight until daybreak. Only one faction can triumph, sending Heathmoor further into the chaos of battle – or into the time of peace that Guljin seeks at any cost.

New Ranked Mode: Dominion

A new era is coming to For Honor on September 10 when Ranked Dominion launches and Ranked Duel exits beta mode and becomes a full part of For Honor’s competitive ecosystem. Ranked matches function the same way as their regular modes do, with a few adjustments to ensure competitive fairness and push you to the limits of your skills. Some of these include:

  • Parry flash indicator is turned off
  • Matches are based on the single-pick system, allowing only one of each Hero on a team
  • Gear perks are disabled
  • Maximum party size is two players who are maximum 10 divisions apart

To get started, you just have to have an account reputation of at least five, then complete one ranked match to earn your initial rank. From there, it’s up to you to fight and climb your way up. There are seven ranks:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Master
  • Grandmaster

Each rank has five divisions to work through before you can reach the next level.

Ranked Dominion will come with a fixed map pool composed of:

  • Beachhead
  • Canyon
  • Cathedral
  • Citadel Gate
  • High Fort
  • Overwatch
  • Temple Garden
  • Qiang Pass

Each season will offer a full set of rewards to earn in Ranked mode as you climb the ranks. When reaching Gold, you earn a full Armor set, and at Diamond, you get a Weapon, both for a specific Hero that will change each season. In Season Zero, it’s for the Warden. You can also earn an ornament when reaching the ranks of Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Grandmaster. You must complete five Ranked matches to get access to the rewards.

New Conqueror Hero Skin: The Keeper of Chains###

To strengthen Guljin’s grasp on Heathmoor, the Keeper of Chains has been tasked with a crucial mission: to venture far beyond the woods of Ashfeld and capture a valuable target. For this most perilous hunt, the Keeper and his company carry new instruments of death: weapons bearing the imagery of a dark mythical creature. Steel forged in the likeness of scales and thorns, of blood and leathery wings. The perfect tools for a bloodhunt.

Check out some of the rewards in Blood Hunt’s Battle Pass:

  • Grim Maiden Mood FX
  • Grim Wyvern Mood FX
  • Grim Fate Battle Outfit
  • Grim Monstrosity Battle Outfit
  • Jack O’Smasher Execution
  • Light the Way Traversal Emote
  • Grim Dance Ornament

Halloween Playlist

This season will feature two Halloween-themed Throwback Events: Endless March and Spooky Slasher. Each will feature three maps and a dedicated leaderboard, and the best way to climb to the top of the leaderboard is to kill skeletons and demons. Participate to earn exclusive throwback weapons from previous Halloween events!

Endless March is a twist on For Honor’s flagship 4v4 Dominion mode, where capturing zones A and C gives a one-time point bonus, but doesn’t passively increase your score while your team holds it. Killing skeleton minions and enemy players is the best way to rack up points. To win, your team needs a minimum score of 1,000 and to defeat all opponents during the breaking phase.

Spooky Slasher is also a variation of Dominion, but with slightly different rules. Regular minions are replaced by high-damage, highly resistant demonic pikemen and skeletons that are not easily killed with basic attacks. However, fighting from inside a captured zone will give you a temporary boost, enabling you to take out the minions more efficiently. You can also acquire the buff by taking out an enemy player with the active boost. If you are taken out while your buff is active, you’ll lose it. To win, you have to capture zones and wipe out the demonic minion waves.
