March of Giants is launching in Early Access Summer 2027, and to celebrate, the team is inviting you to participate in its Pioneer Playtest on Steam. Running from October 7-18, you’ll be able to earn rewards, provide valuable feedback that will shape the future of the game, and unleash devastating abilities as a Giant on the field of battle. Sign up today by visiting the March of Giants Steam page, then click Request Access under the Playtest. You’ll get a notification from Steam when you’ve been granted access, and you’ll be able to download March of Giants and start playing on October 7 at 7:00 AM PDT.
A new 4v4 MOBA, March of Giants is set against a gritty backdrop inspired by World War 1, in which you’ll play as a Giant created by the stuff of dreams and nightmares. Each Giant has unique abilities that let them dominate the battlefield in different ways, as well as command battalions of soldiers to attack enemies, gather materials, or claim powerful temporary team buffs. In March of Giants, you can also transform the arena into a true battlefield with Battleworks, doubling down on defensive measures, amping up an attack charge, or calling in reinforcements during the heat of battle.
What to Know About the Pioneer Playtest
The Pioneer Playtest is open to anyone in North America and select European countries, and if you participated in the Closed Alpha in September 2025, you’re already invited and do not need to request access again. When the playtest opens on October 7 at 7:00AM PDT, you’ll find March of Giants in your game library, ready for you to download and start playing. Feel free to stream, record, and share any content from the game – developers are looking forward to seeing you play and hearing your feedback.
By participating in the Pioneer Playtest and completing matches, you can earn points towards earning a Pioneer Status, which unlocks exclusive rewards like:
- Pioneer Player Profile Badge
- Exclusive, permanent Giant unlock starting October 12

You hit Pioneer Status by reaching 1,000 points, and earning points is easy: just play and complete PvP matches. Winning nets you 100 points, while losing only earns you 50. To ramp up your progression, watch one hour of a March of Giants stream on Twitch, and you’ll get a 20% point boost.
