Just Dance 2016 and VH1 Save the Music have partnered together in a joint effort to help support music and dance programs in schools across the nation. And so, from November 19 through December 9, they will be launching a contest where you could win brand new musical instruments for your school.
This campaign works in two steps. First, check out the Community Remix feature in Just Dance 2016, where VH1 Save the Music will be featured. All you need to do is boogie down and submit your best performance. For every Community Remix entry submitted, Just Dance 2016 will donate $1 (up to $8,000). All the money donated will go toward a grant that will help a selected school get new musical instruments.
Which brings us to the second step of this campaign. Here's how you can enter your school for consideration in the contest:
- Create a description of why music and dance are so important to your school.
- Post your story on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hasthags #JustDanceContest and #SaveTheMusic.
- Keep an eye out to see if your school wins!
"Just Dance and VH1 Save The Music both value keeping music front and center for young people across the country, so this partnership feels natural on many levels," said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing of Ubisoft. "It's an honor to be collaborating with such a thoughtful foundation for a cause that's really important to us as a brand and as individuals."
"What makes VH1 Save The Music mesh so well with Just Dance is the passion we both have for music and community," said Paul Cothran Executive Director of VH1 Save The Music. "We take pride in positively impacting the lives of kids and teens through music education, and it's a huge pleasure to work with a brand that recognizes how important that is."
