March of Giants has added a new Giant to its roster: Pandemos. This plague doctor of pestilence is dedicated to defeating enemies with noxious concoctions of decay, rot, and infection. Designed around the idea of contagion, his abilities spread quickly among allies and enemies, and he excels in grouped-up and sustained team fights. Depending on his item loadout, Pandemos can be built as a healer, an area damage dealer, or pure crowd control and disruption based on your team’s needs.
His pox-ridden abilities are:
- Miasmic Flask (Q) - Tosses a containment flask that damages and slows enemies. Hitting a target shatters the flask, spilling its contents further down the battle line
- Cure Toxin (W) - Toxic fumes cure an ally or self, healing and granting alchemic resistance before spreading to another target
- Phobia Blight (E) - A delayed, virulent explosion that deals damage and infects enemies with fear
- The Vector Plague (Ultimate, R) - A ravenous plague that bounces between enemies, damaging, slowing, and making them distrusted by their own soldiers
Pandemos’ passive ability is Afflicted Regiment, which infects his rallied soldiers, who then spread the infection when they charge at Giants, slowing them down and making them more vulnerable to Alchemical damage.
Pandemos Lore
All Giants are born from a dream or nightmare of war, and Pandemos is the nightmare of experimentation. Diseases ran rampant in the trenches during the Century War, a phenomenon known as the Trench Plagues. As field hospitals became overwhelmed, military doctors had to rely on increasingly drastic experimental treatments to try and find a cure. Fear around those experiments created Pandemos, a cold, calculating Giant who uses the diseases within his own body to harm and heal alike.
Unlocking Pandemos
Pandemos will automatically unlock for every player who has already achieved the Pioneer Player status. If you aren't there yet, there's still time! You just need 1,000 Pioneer Points. Here's how you can level up your account before the Pioneer Playtest ends:
- Participate in and complete PvP matches (100 points for a win, 50 for a loss)
- Watch March of Giants on Twitch to earn a 20% multiplier booster for your progress (this will increase to 50% in the final days of the Pioneer Playtest), or join the March of Giants Discord and claim a one-time booster code
Once you unlock Pandemos, he'll be in your roster permanently, and will remain unlocked for you through the Pioneer Playtest, all future playtests, and Early Access.
