Just like the Industrial Revolution itself, Assassin's Creed Syndicate's Victorian London offers more options for getting around quickly than any era to come before. Carriages, trains, boats and wrist-launched ziplines all play important roles in Assassin's Creed Syndicate's enhanced mobility, and they're on full display at the Ubisoft E3 press conference, as Jacob Frye pursues a Templar gang boss named Robert Strain through the streets of London. Want to see it for yourself? Just check out the video below.

The chase begins with a look at the full-scale gang battles that erupt between Jacob's Rooks and rival gangs as the former expands into Templar-held territories, but it isn't long before Strain makes his escape, prompting Jacob to slip through the chaos and give chase. Jacob immediately hijacks a convenient carriage (activating an even-more-convenient navigation system that superimposes Jacob's route on the road), and as Strain's thugs rush in to help him, we're treated to a look at carriage-to-carriage combat, followed by rope launcher traversal through an immense train station and a dramatic confrontation atop one of the game's working trains. It's a showcase for what makes Assassin's Creed Syndicate a unique entry in the Assassin's Creed series, and an intriguing taste of what's to come when it launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on October 23.
