Shark Week begins its annual run on Discovery Channel July 5, and if you're a fan of chomping swimmers in Hungry Shark Evolution, you can start celebrating now. In a partnership with Discovery Channel, the mobile shark adventure has kicked off the Shark of Liberty event, adding Fourth of July-themed goodies (including a dapper Uncle Sam hat for your sharks to wear) and challenging players to find all nine pieces of the broken Shark of Liberty statue.
Those who do find the pieces will unlock the Firework, an item that confers a 50 percent speed boost, so get searching! In other news, Hungry Shark Evolution has again joined up with anti-shark-finning campaign Fin Free and ocean-conservation group Oceana, which means the addition of new in-game items and videos for players to unlock. If you're not already munching your way through Hungry Shark Evolution's open ocean, you can join the festivities for free on iOS and Android.
