XDefiant Season 2 launched in September, bringing the new Highwaymen faction, weapons, maps, and more to the game. It also marked the start of XDefiant's premium Battle Pass being available to players with a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription. While the regular season Battle Pass gives players the chance to earn new weapons, skins, emotes, and more at no cost, the premium Battle Pass offers rewards on more tiers, including exclusive content. The Highwaymen faction is a band of cutthroat survivors pulled straight out of Hope County circa 2035. With their rate-of-fire bonuses, deployable scrap turrets, M79 grenade launchers, and sawblade launchers, they are designed to do maximum damage in minimal time, and are lethal in battle. The Highwaymen are unlockable for free through in-game challenges, but those with the premium Battle Pass will get access to the first character right away.
The bonus tiers in the premium Battle Pass also offer up to 1,300 XCoins, weapon and battle pass XP boosters, and exclusive character and weapon skins, including:

- Sugar Rush TAC-50 Weapon Skin
- Bad Behavior Player Animation
