The annual The Crew Showcase took place October 16, giving players a peek at incoming updates designed to empower player creativity and freedom, including a street racing Playlist, BMW and NASCAR collaborations, increased customizations, and an offline mode for The Crew 2. In case you missed the show, here's everything on the horizon for The Crew:
The Crew Motorfest's third year will kick off on November 5 with Season 8, inviting players to the world of street racing. In the new Street Riders Playlist, players will join Monkeys' Kitchen, a secret crew focused on the flair and artistry of car culture. The Playlist's races have no set routes, and its hero car, the legendary M3 E46, usually pre-made for players, will be fully customizable. Year 3 will offer more customization options than ever, as players can now modify rims with different materials, colors, and branded models. By player request, vehicle stance will also be fully customizable.
The new season will also feature a BMW Playlist that explores the brand's legacy, showcasing classic vehicles to exciting new models like the exclusive BMW M2 CS. The Year 3 Pass will offer 20 new cars, four of which will be available day-one on November 5. Players who own the Year 1 or Year 2 pass will also receive the Cadillac CIEL Concept 2011 Hypercar. The Crew Motorfest will also introduce a new progression and ranking system in Massive Race.
To celebrate The Crew Motorfest Year 3, the new Friend Pass allows players to invite up to three friends to play for free, with no time limit. And as an added bonus, everyone who logs into the game October 16-19 will receive the BMW M2 (2017) for their collection. Additionally, The Crew Motorfest will be Steam Deck verified and available on the portable platform on November 5
Looking to the future, Season 9 will bring two major updates to The Crew Motorfest: a NASCAR collaboration and Playlist, and the Track Forge, which is a track creator tool that lets players make, race, and share their own tracks. The season will also introduce remote-controlled cars in March as a premium addition, giving players a new way to explore the open world and events alike.
The Crew 2 also launched its hybrid mode that allows players to enjoy the game both online and offline. This player-requested feature will keep the game accessible for years to come.
