Riders Republic Kicks Off Season 9: Winter Season

Winter comes to Riders Republic today with the launch of Season 9: Winter Season, which brings new holiday-themed events and challenges, a wintery makeover for Riders Ridge, chances to try the new skateboard sport for free, and more over the coming 13 weeks. Additionally, players can grab Riders Republic for up to 75% off from the Ubisoft Store during the Winter Sale, which runs until January 3, 2024.

Each week, Season 9 will introduce six Live Events, two Live Areas, and a rotation of Mass Races, Special Mass Races, and Warrior Mass Races. One Live Event and one Live Area per week will focus on skateboards, and will be available free to all players, including players who haven’t purchased the Skate add-on. Competing in weekly challenges and events will also propel players through 20 new tiers of Season Progression, earning new rewards as they go. The Season also includes the following major events:

Holiday Season Celebration (December 20 to January 3, 2024)

Starting today, Riders can take on free weekly challenges to earn themed rewards, and tackle Special Mass Races. The Cartoon Pack will also debut during this period, with a new outfit, goggles, and glasses that activate a cartoon filter on the player’s screen. While the Cartoon Pack will be available throughout the season, players who grab it in the first two weeks can do so for 50% off.

New Year’s Eve (December 31 to January 2)

The Ridge will ring in the New Year by lighting up the night with a continuous fireworks display for two days straight. Riders can get extra-celebratory by grabbing a new outfit with animated patterns and FX from the in-game store, and some special events will be set at night to embrace the New Year’s Eve atmosphere.

X Games Winter Edition (January 24-31)

The X Games returns to Riders Republic with a special tournament, inviting all players to participate and compete throughout the week in a snow-themed Live Event, and in a Live Area at the X Games Halfpipe in The Deck.

Lunar New Year (February 7-14)

Riders Republic officially celebrates the Lunar New Year for the first time ever with a series of two dedicated Live Events featuring bikes and rocket wings, as well as a Live Area in Mammoth Village where Riders are invited to score as many points as possible on snowboards. Riders who participate will get a free themed helmet; the events will also be an opportunity to try out the Legend of the Dragon outfit, which will be available for purchase from the in-game store.

Finally, players who haven’t yet joined the Republic can do so at a deep discount during the Winter Sale, with the Ubisoft Store and other digital storefronts offering savings of up to 75% off the Standard Edition; 60% off the Complete Edition, Skate Edition, and 360 Edition; and 60% off the Year One Pass. Additionally, the Skate Plus Pack – which includes the Skate add-on, hoverboard, skate cosmetics, and the Ridge Ultimate Pack – will be 35% off.

Riders Republic is out now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC (via Epic Games Store, Steam, and the Ubisoft Store), and Amazon Luna, and is included with a Ubisoft+ subscription.
