Rainbow Six Siege’s [REDACTED] event is live now through April 8, a limited-time heist showdown event. Inspired by METAL GEAR SOLID, players are invited to join the infiltration mission with Snake and Zero to recover stolen data. Hack the data, steal it, or stop the extraction.
Exclusive Game Mode
[REDACTED]’s 4v4 hack and extract mode has two distinct gameplay phases:
- Hacking Phase: Attackers attempt to pull off a data heist, while Defenders delay or prevent the hacking
- Extraction Phase: Attackers grab the MO disc and push forward with the extraction mission, while Defenders protect the data access point and prevent the extraction until time runs out
The first team to take three rounds wins the match. The available Attackers are Zero, Solid Snake, Iana, Ash, and Maverick, and their gameplay is focused on stealth and infiltration, meaning less total ammo, no drones, and limited breaching capabilities for the squad. Meanwhile, the Defenders, composed of Smoke, Ela, Jackal, Kaid, and Kapkan, are focused on tracking and trapping with less total ammo and limited reinforcements.
The [REDACTED] event takes place in Modified Nighthaven, inspired by Shadow Moses Island from METAL GEAR SOLID. Featuring snow-covered ground, with snow ice and rock to break through, the environment is primed for fast-paced action.

The [REDACTED] event also brings limited-time bundles, each of which includes uniforms, headgears, and multiple weapon skins, as well as an exclusive Weapon Kit and Signature Bundle featuring an MP5 weapon skin, along with a charm, an attachment, and a drone skin. Here's some of what you can expect from [REDACTED]’s limited-time bundles:
- JACKAL as Grey Fox
- ASH as Meryl
- KAID as Revolver Ocelot
- ZERO in Splinter Cell: Deathwatch outfit
Completing the full Event Collection will unlock the C7E Memento Masterpiece, an animated weapon skin for JACKAL. Players can unlock Event Packs for free by completing weekly challenges. And, for the duration of the event, watch Rainbow Six Siege on Twitch to earn the VECTOR .45 ACP “HYDROPONIC” Twitch Drop, equipped by Goyo and Mira.
