Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed series has added two more series regulars to its ensemble: Nabhann Rizwan (In Camera, Kaos, Juice) and Claes Bang (The Square, Bad Sisters). Rizwan was nominated for the Rising Star BAFTA and Best Male Performance in a Comedy BAFTA for his work on Kaos. He also earned a BIFA nomination for Best Lead performance for his work on In Camera. His past television credits also include Dope Girls, Station 11, Industry, The Informer, and The Accident; past film credits include The Last Letter From Your Lover and 1917.
Bang’s breakout as an international star and lead actor came with his performance in The Square, which won the Palme D’Or at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival as well as Best Actor at the European Film Awards. The Square was also nominated for the Academy Awards and the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film. Bang’s recent on-screen roles include The Bay of Silence, The Affair, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, Dracula, and Northman, among many others. A born theater actor, his recent onstage work includes Daddy and The Evil.
Assassin’s Creed is a high-octane thriller centered on the secret war between two shadowy factions – one set on determining mankind’s future through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will. The series follows its characters across pivotal historical moments as they battle to shape humanity’s destiny.
Previously announced cast members include Lola Petticrew (Say Nothing, Trespasses, Tuesday), Toby Wallace (Euphoria Season 3, The Bikeriders), Zachary Hart (Slow Horses), Laura Marcus (Death by Lightning, Sunrise on the Reaping), Tanzyn Crawford (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), Noomi Rapace (Lamb, Prometheus), Ramzy Bedia (Of Money and Blood, Haunted Minds, The Party’s Over), Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible, The Stranger), and Corrado Invernizzi (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Ford v Ferrari, Doctor Who).
The showrunners and executive producers for Assassin’s Creed are Roberto Patino (DMZ, Westworld, Sons of Anarchy) and David Wiener (Halo, Homecoming, The Killing). For Ubisoft Film & Television, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, and Genevieve Jones will executive produce. Matt O’Toole will executive produce as well.
