Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Assassin’s Creed has officially cast Zachary Hart (Slow Horses) and Laura Marcus (Death By Lightning, Sunrise on the Reaping) as series regulars. Hart, an esteemed actor of the stage and screen, most recently starred in the Tony-nominated Stereophonic, while Marcus was part of The Serpent Queen before her current projects. Previously announced cast members include Toby Wallace (Euphoria Season 3, The Bikeriders) and Lola Petticrew (Say Nothing, Trespasses).
Made in collaboration with Ubisoft Film & Television, the Assassin’s Creed series is a high-octane thriller centered on a secret war between two shadowy factions as they battle for humanity’s destiny. The Templar Order seeks to determine mankind’s future through control and manipulation, while the Assassin Brotherhood fights to preserve free will.
Assassin's Creed has signed Emmy nominees Roberto Patino (DMZ, Westworld, Sons of Anarchy) and David Wiener (Halo, Homecoming, The Killing) as creators, showrunners, and executive producers. Ubisoft Film & Television’s Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill and Genevieve Jones will also executive produce, as will Matt O’Toole.
The live-action Assassin’s Creed series is the first of several planned shows from Netflix’s deal with Ubisoft Film & Television for the franchise. The streaming platform is also home to the acclaimed Splinter Cell: Deathwatch animated series. Stay tuned to Ubisoft News for more updates on Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed adaptation.
