Ubisoft+ Spotlight - Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag

(Editorial note: This is a series of quick weekly highlights written by Ubisoft News team writers that feature games available with a Ubisoft+ subscription. We hope you'll enjoy reminiscing with us, or perhaps discover something new.)

Brittany Spurlin, Writer/Editor: ssassin’s Creed IV Black Flag celebrated its 10th anniversary on October 29, so what better game to highlight this week? The pirate’s life beckons as you strap on the cutlass of Edward Kenway as he and other famed buccaneers attempt to establish a pirate republic in the Caribbean. However, the Templar Order exploits the situation, leading Edward to the Assassin Brotherhood and into a deep conspiracy. The game introduced open-world naval combat and exploration to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and players can upgrade and customize Edward’s ship to ensure victory on the high seas. Not only does it tell a good story about Edward’s journey to overcome his demons and join the Assassin Brotherhood, it’s also an excellent way to live out your pirate dreams as you plunder your way across the Caribbean.

Oh, and those famed pirates you get to work with? They include such historical figures as Blackbeard, Stede Bonnet, Calico Jack, and Anne Bonny, to name a few.

You can play Assassin's Creed Black Flag Gold Edition today with a Ubisoft+ subscription.
