Steven Universe And Friends Join The Battle In Brawlhalla

Brawlhalla’s Legends can test their might against the Crystal Gems of “Steven Universe” starting today, when Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Stevonnie join the free-to-play fighting game’s cast as Epic Crossovers. The characters are available for 300 Mammoth coins each, and arrive as part of a special in-game event that runs through December 18. The event also includes a new Bubble Tag mode, a main menu takeover, a new Malachite KO effect, and bonus daily login gold.

Garnet appears as an Epic Crossover for Petra, and brings rocket gauntlets and energy blasts to the fight. Amethyst mirrors Brawlhalla’s Xull, able to transform into her Purple Puma form and use her whips as a signature attack to snag opponents. Pearl is an Epic Crossover for Kaya, and arrives armed with a spear and bow, as well as Holo-Pearl and Holo-Rose Quartz signature attacks. And Stevonnie (the fusion of Steven Universe and his friend Connie Maheswaran) stands in for Brawlhalla’s Val, and can summon a bubble shield and their magical pink lion.

In the Bubble Tag mode, players split into teams of three and attempt to capture each other in Gem Bubbles, which limit their movement and stop their attacks. Players can free their teammates by tagging them, but once an entire team is bubbled, their opponents score a point.
