This week at Ubisoft, the vision-obscuring Nucleus must be retrieved in Rainbow Six Extraction's new Crisis Event, After Effect; zombies have invaded Riders Republic; and the Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Community Team created planet guides to help you with each cosmic puzzle and encounter. But that's not all - Ubisoft+ added three new indie titles to its library, and the 2023 Six Invitational named its location. Check it all out and more in this week's roundup of all Ubisoft News:
Rainbow Six Extraction After Effect Crisis Event Available Now
After Effect, Rainbow Six Extraction's newest Crisis Event, is playable now through November 17. Squad up with your most trusted Operators to retrieve the Nucleus, a glowing orb that grants the Death Marker ability, enabling players to take out any Archaean with one shot. However, players will have to battle to victory through heavy waves of Archaeans, while whoever's carrying the Nucleus contends with slow movement and gradually obscuring vision.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Planet Guides Available Now
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is available now, inviting players to save the galaxy from the villainous Cursa. The cosmic adventure is centered around the exploration of five planets: Beacon Beach, Pristine Peaks, Palette Prime, Terra Flora, and Barrendale Mesa. Each location has its own unique puzzles and adversaries - and if they're giving you any trouble, the Community Team is here to help with hints, tips, and tricks for getting through each encounter with ease.
New Indie Games Come to Ubisoft+
On October 27, Ubisoft+ introduced three new indie games to its library. Build up your deck and dive into a terrifying imaginary world in Iris and the Giant, a collectible card game with RPG elements by Louis Rigaud. Or, if management sim games are more your pace, you can run your own cat café in Calico. For a co-op puzzle experience, be sure to check out Death Squared, which lets you team up to direct a robot to its goal - facing all sorts of hazards along the way.

Ubisoft+ Spotlight - Rainbow Six Extraction
(Editorial note: This is a series of quick weekly highlights written by Ubisoft News team writers that feature games available with a Ubisoft+ subscription. We hope you'll enjoy reminiscing with us, or perhaps discover something new.)
Chris Watters, Editorial Communications Manager: Rainbow Six Extraction takes the tight, tactical play of Rainbow Six Siege and reimagines it in a cooperative PvE setting. This means that instead of matching wits with human opponents, you'll be pitting your skills against a diverse array of vicious alien enemies called Archaeans. And they're no pushovers. They prowl through dense, intricate levels set in locations across the US, waiting to spot you or your teammates as you advance on their positions. One cry from an Archaean will not only bring their friends running, but will also wake the nests, spawning even more enemies to rapidly descend upon you and turn a dangerous situation into a deadly one.
But you're no pushover either. Playing as one of Extraction's 22 Operators, recruited and adapted from the ranks of Rainbow Six Siege, you bring a formidable arsenal of weapons, REACT tech, and unique gadgets to get the edge on your enemies. Use those tools to maintain stealth and keep a low profile, or unleash them to beat back the onrushing hordes as you fight to accomplish your objective. Extracting from your mission safely is the name of the game, and doing so will earn you XP to level up your Operator and unlock new perks, buffs, and weapons. Fail to make it out, and not only could you lose your hard-earned XP, you'll have to venture back in to rescue your MIA Operator. Rainbow Six Extraction isn't easy, but it is tense and thrilling in true Rainbow Six tradition. You can play it today with a Ubisoft+ subscription.
