Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney Partner With Ubisoft for TV Comedy Series

Stars Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day are creating a new half-hour comedy series, which will be co-produced by Ubisoft and the Lionsgate/3 Arts Entertainment venture. With 10 episodes planned as a straight-to-series order by Apple, the comedy will star McElhenney, and will explore the human condition from the setting of a game-development studio.

Executive-produced by McElhenney and Day under their RCG banner, the series marks the duo's first collaboration outside of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Other executive producers include Michael Rotenberg and Nicholas Frenkel of 3Arts; and Gérard Guillemot, Jason Altman, and Danielle Kreinik of Ubisoft.

The new show joins other live-action projects in development from Ubisoft, including Tom Clancy's The Division, starring Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal. For more on Ubisoft and its creations outside of videogames, check out our previous coverage.
