Space Junkies Closed Beta Brings Jetpack Combat to VR September 26

Space Junkies is a fast-paced, virtual-reality arcade shooter that pits teams of jetpack-equipped players against each other in zero-g dogfights. If you're ready to jump in with an Oculus Rift- or HTC Vive-equipped PC, you can sign up now at spacejunkiesgame.com for a chance to participate in the closed beta, which runs from September 26 to October 1.

The closed beta features never-before-seen content, including a new mode, two new maps, two new characters, and a new piece of equipment. It's also an excellent chance to get a feel for Space Junkies' huge arenas, where attacks can come from any direction and nearly anything can be used as cover. And the Oculus Touch or Vive controllers let you immerse yourself in the action by gesturing, fist-bumping, snatching weapons out of the air, aiming, or swinging a sword as if you were there.

Space Junkies is coming soon for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. To find out more, check out our previous coverage.
