The Division Resurgence is now available worldwide, bringing the vaunted third-person RPG shooter franchise to mobile devices for the first time. Play for free on iOS and Android as you step into the shoes of a newly activated Division Agent and take on a new campaign (playable solo or in co-op with up to three teammates), test your skills in competitive PVP action, or dive into the PvPvE extraction mode ominously known as the Dark Zone.
The Division Resurgence Campaign
Set between the events of The Division and The Division 2, The Division Resurgence campaign challenges you to take to the streets of New York City to restore order as violent factions seek to gain control amidst the chaos caused by the Green Poison. These enemy factions include franchise-veterans Raiders, Rikers, and Cleaners, as well as a brand new faction called the Freemen, who use powerful homemade weaponry and are obsessed with scavenging and hoarding useful materials. The campaign kicks off with a bootcamp tutorial that gives you the chance to get comfortable with the touch controls; you can also play with a Bluetooth controller. Hit the streets solo, squad up with up to three other players, or team up on the fly with players you meet out in the open world of NYC.
Progression, Customization, and Specializations in The Division Resurgence
The Specializations of The Division Resurgence empower you with signature weapons and unique gadgets to amplify your impact in combat. These Specializations include Demolitionist, Bulwark, Field Medic, Tech Operator, and Vanguard. Build your loadout by looting and crafting both weapons and gear, then mod and upgrade them to customize them to your liking. You can switch Specializations at any time during gameplay to adapt to the situation or better complement your team composition.
Gameplay Modes and Endgame Activities
In addition to the campaign mode and open-world activities, players can also face off against other players in competitive map control matches in the Conflict PVP mode. Furthermore, the Dark Zone returns with its signature PvPvE extraction mode, which players can enter alone or with a team as they seek to loot and extract high-end gear while braving the dangers of NPC factions and other players.
Once players have completed the campaign, endgame activities await to offer new levels of challenge and reward. The Legendary Challenge sends players on a random main mission set to Ultimate difficulty level, while the Lone Wolf Challenge provides a series of training stages that increase in difficulty while offering better rewards along the way. Players can also join clans, allowing them to pool resources together with other players to upgrade their clan facilities and earn rewards. Additional content is planned for release after launch.
