More than 25 million players have experienced the intensity of a Rainbow Six Siege match, and you can soon join them for a limited time when the Rainbow Six Siege Free Play Weekend begins on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (via Uplay or Steam) on February 15. Your in-game progress will carry over if you buy a full version of Rainbow Six Siege.
Starting February 19, Operation Chimera will also be available on the technical test server (TTS), giving PC players a chance to test out Rainbow Six Siege's newest duo of Operators. Then, on February 20, the Outbreak co-op event will be added to Operation Chimera on the TTS. Outbreak is a special, time-limited co-op event in which a team of up to three players must infiltrate the Quarantine Zone in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico to battle an extraterrestrial infestation that has turned the locals into horrible creatures.
Operation Chimera will be available to all users on March 6. The free Outbreak event officially begins on March 6 and will be available until April 3. Both are part of the Year 3 Season One content for Rainbow Six Siege, but there are three more seasons coming, with six more Operators (for eight total), two new maps, and one map rework. Season Pass owners will have seven-day early access to new Operators along with some other bonuses, including exclusive headgear, uniforms, a charm, 600 R6 credits, the Damascus Steel skin, a 5% renown boost, discounts, and more.
For more information, be sure to check out the Six Invitational Finals live from February 16-18 for special segments on the two new Operators and the Outbreak co-op event at https://www.twitch.tv/rainbow6.
