Last week, Ubisoft CEO and Co-Founder Yves Guillemot took the stage with other industry leaders at the China Digital Entertainment Congress (CDEC), as part of the opening of ChinaJoy 2018 in Shanghai.
Guillemot presented his vision for the future, focusing on advances in cloud gaming, human-machine interfaces, and Blockchain. In his speech, Guillemot also detailed ways the videogame industry can leverage these technological disruptions to offer ever better experiences to existing players, welcome even more people to gaming, and empower everyone to become stakeholders in the games they play. He then shared his belief that as videogames evolve, they will become testing grounds for innovation and increasingly have a positive impact on our daily lives. Check out the video below for more.
