Composing Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök's Mythic Score

[UN] [ACDOR] - Dawn of Ragnarok Composer Interview - Stephanie Economou

Dawn of Ragnarök is Assassin's Creed's biggest expansion to date; it immerses players in the world of Norse mythology, and its mesmerizing score plays a big part. Stephanie Economou, who also composed music for the Assassin's Creed Valhalla - The Siege of Paris DLC, returned to the game for Dawn of Ragnarök. She spoke to Ubisoft News about her creative process, balancing the historic and mythic sounds of ancient Norway, and collaborating with progressive black metal band Wilderun to craft Dawn of Ragnarök's score.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Update

[UN] [Multiple Titles] - Weekly News Recap 5.6.22 - POP SOT

The development of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is now led by Ubisoft Montreal, the birthplace of the Sands of Time trilogy. This decision is an important step, and the Montreal team will build upon the work Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai achieved, taking the time they need to regroup on the scope of the game to deliver players the best experience for this remake when it's ready. Ubisoft will keep players updated as development progresses.

Ubisoft+ Spotlight: Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

(Editorial note - This is the first of a new series of quick weekly highlights written by our News team writers that feature games available with a Ubisoft+ subscription. We hope you'll enjoy reminiscing with us, or perhaps discover something new.)

Mikel Reparaz, Editor: An interquel set between Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and its sequel, The Warrior Within, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands gives us a version of the Prince who hasn't yet gone from good-natured cockiness to brooding rage, and sets him on a path to reclaim his brother's kingdom from an army of sand creatures. With a faster, more straightforward approach to parkour and combat than the earlier games, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands funnels players through trap-filled obstacle courses and fights with up to 50 enemies at once, all assisted by new magical attacks and exploration powers in addition to the ability to manipulate time. It's a great "lost story" in the Prince of Persia canon, and fans who wanted more of the Sands of Time trilogy owe it to themselves to check it out. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is available in the Ubisoft Store or with a Ubisoft+ subscription.
