Ubisoft has announced a new partnership with Microsoft and ESL, the world's biggest eSports organization, to form the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League – a global platform for both Xbox One and PC players that will support Rainbow Six Siege's growing competitive community with a $100,000 prize pool. Season one begins on March 4, 2016 at the Intel Extreme Masters in Katowice, Poland where eight matches will mark the beginning of the European PC competition. North American and Xbox matches will follow in the weeks after.
At the end of the season, the top teams from Europe and North America – on both Xbox One and PC – will compete against each other on their respective platforms at a special live event with $50,000 on the line for both sets of finalists.
"Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege was built from the ground up with competition in mind," said Xavier Marquis, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege creative director, Ubisoft Montreal. "We're excited to partner with ESL, one of the biggest names in eSports, to deliver a league for Rainbow Six Siege fans to compete and enjoy the game they love."
